Propane Safety Check
All new systems that we put into service
must have a Propane Safety Check performed by our trained technicians before service can be
connected. We proudly offer this service free to all new customers who purchase 175
gallons or more of propane.
In addition to the Propane Safety Check performed on new systems, we recommend an annual
check for your existing gas system. Schedule a Propane Safety Check today and one of our trained
technicians will:
|
 |
Pressure check your propane systems for leaks and weakness. |
 |
Carefully inspect our tank, piping, regulator, gauges, connectors,
valves, vents, thermostats, pilots, burners, and appliance controls. |
 |
Inform you of any worn or damaged equipment that should be
replaced. |
 |
Recommend improvements that could upgrade your system's
performance. |
 |
Explain the suggested methods of operating your system safely and
efficiently - and give you vital informational materials regarding emergencies. |
 |
|
 |
 |
| 1. |
By smell. A disagreeable odor is added to the propane so
you can detect a leak or unlit pilot easily. |
| 2. |
By electronic gas alarm. If used, the gas alarm supplements
a person's smelling ability to detect a gas leak and sounds an audible warning when it
finds the presence of propane gas. |

| Cooking with a gas grill can be fun and very convenient. With a propane gas
grill, there is no waste of time and energy. The blue flame provides your grill with
instant heat and temperature control and lets your family enjoy the great barbecue taste
year round. But as with any major appliance, there are safety precautions you should
follow to ensure safe operation. Here are some important DON'TS; |
| 1. |
DO NOT use the propane gas cylinder if it shows
signs of dents, gouges, bulges, fire, damage, corrosion, leakage, excessive rust, or other
forms of visible external damage. Consult your local propane gas supplier for further
instructions. |
| 2. |
DO NOT attempt to repair cylinder valves,
regulator or hose connections. All repair work should be done by your local propane gas
supplier. |
| 3. |
DO NOT allow any one (including children) to
tamper with components of the grill or the propane gas cylinder. |
| 4. |
DO NOT allow anyone to conduct any activities
around the grill when the grill is in use, or following its use. The grill body is hot
during the period of use and will remain hot for some time following its use. |
| 5. |
DO NOT use the grill directly adjacent to the
side of the house or structure and never under any surface such as a carport, porch, or in
a garage. |
| 6. |
DO NOT store cylinder(s) inside enclosed
structures or in areas where the cylinder(s) would be exposed to excessive heat. This
includes storing a spare cylinder close to a gas grill. |
| 7. |
DO NOT dispose of unused propane by opening the
valve and venting to the atmosphere. Take the cylinder to your propane supplier for
disposal. |
